Listen.com’s “Rhapsody Music Service”:http://www.qksrv.net/click-730052-10301042 is 100% free to try out through February 21st.
I’m a subscriber, and I heartily recommend that you give the service a whirl if you’re on a broadband (DSL or cable) connection. Here’s why:
Good stuff:
– Access to 20,000+ songs with just a click or two
– Cool ability to make unlimited playlists
– Fun way to discover groups and songs you’ve never heard
Admittedly not-so-good stuff:
– Costs either money (49 cents currently) or a bit o’ “hacking” to record a track in unprotected format to your hard drive or to a CD.
– Missing a TON of good stuff, especially for those of us with more eclectic tastes.
– The search engine sucks rocks. I want to search for a cappella stuff, for French jazz, for 1970’s musicals. No can do.
But hey, it’s free for a week. “Give it a try”:http://www.qksrv.net/click-730052-10301042 — You’ll have fun, I promise 🙂
